Most of the school community residents maintain small plots of subsistence food crops. Many are now growing sunflowers, and sunflower fields dot the landscape around the school campus. Seeds are processed for oil to be sold in local stores, and oil "cakes" are sold as cattle feed to farmers. Oil business proceeds help fund student tuitions. A corner of the oil shed is in need of repair, and shelving would provide better organization for efficiency.  Frequent abundance of seeds is creating the need for a second processor and power generator.
